Follow the suggested quilting lines on the pattern selected
or design your own quilting lines.
Make the appliqué quilting:
(A) realistic or
(B) echo style
Background quilting is
traditionally echo style.

For
a wall hanging,
layer applied block on
batting, on backing
fabric. For a pillow, use
muslin as backing. Save
backing fabric for pillow
back. Cut batting at
least 2" larger all around.

Pin layers together, smooth fabric from center as you pin
toward the edge.
Baste layers together
in a grid pattern.
Keep smoothing layers, pin as necessary.
When you're finished, remove the pins. |
